A weather radar on a remote island
For the Taiwan Air Force (ROCAF) Weather Wing, Welltek delivered a Doppler weather radar on Green Island with Gematronik (now Leonardo) as technology partner, taking prime-contractor responsibility for preemptive renovation, telecommunication and utility construction, radar installation, and the extensive documentation military contracts demand. The radome's weatherproofing was proven when Typhoon Nepartak struck shortly after completion — the radar tracked the storm and emerged undamaged.
